Worlds Apart
Flying Machine
Memnor's first release, which came in 2013, was written and recorded by Rob Rideout as a university project.
The song was an experiment in long-form songwriting, and an attempt to recreate the magic of tracks such as Dream Theater's "A Change of Seasons", Frost*'s "Milliontown", and Magenta's "The Ballad of Samuel Layne".
The song details the plight of a protagonist who loses a loved one, and looks inwards to see them in lucid dreams, ultimately battling with a second loss when they realise that they must come to terms with letting go. This track is considered a demo, and is not available on mainstream streaming platforms, because it does not conform to the high standard of production that the band now prides itself on. Maybe one day it will be remastered, but until then it is available only to stream on Soundcloud, Bandcamp, and at our official website at WeAreMemnor.com
